All Ears: Conversation One-On-One

After this course, students will be able to maintain conversations on a variety of day-to-day topics. You will be meet with another student for 30 mins each week for one month. During these 30 minutes, you will practice your conversation skills by talking about an assigned topic given each week. You will also have weekly assignments in Cypher Learning that will teach you important conversation skills.

After this course, students will be able to maintain conversations on a variety of day-to-day topics. You will be meet with another student for 30 mins each week for one month. During these 30 minutes, you will practice your conversation skills by talking about an assigned topic given each week. You will also have weekly assignments in Cypher Learning that will teach you important conversation skills. 

 

Course Objectives

 

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 

  • Write personal letters describing experiences, feelings, and events. 
  • Narrate a written story. 
  • Understand the description of events, feelings, and wishes in personal letters. 
  • Write personal letters relating news and thoughts about cultural topics such as movies, and books. 

 

Course Expectations

 

In order to obtain the Book Club badge, you must: 

 

  • Attend the full 30 minutes of the conversation participate. You and your partner will evaluate one another. 
  • Complete the weekly conversation skills assignment.  
  • Report your conversation and what you learned in a weekly quiz.
