At Cumorah Academy, we believe that people learning by doing. Of course to do things well, you need information, guidance, practice and good mentors, but doing must always be at the heart of our focus.
This module reviews the principles of our role as teachers who help our students be 'doers of the word and not just hearers only' (James 1:22)
Here is the course outline:
1. Why We TeachThis module reviews having clear reasons, outcomes and expectations in your teaching. |
2. Love the StudentsThis module helps us focus on the students completely, making learning a powerful, personal experience for each person in the classroom - and that includes the teacher. |
3. Authentic TeachingThis modules focusses on how we include our own character, experiences and use proven and effective sources to enrich the student's learning experience. |
4. The Learning EnvironmentThis module shows us how we can create effective learning environments in and out of our classrooms. |
5. Always RememberThis module details the importance of reviewing and reflecting, repeating and revising and effective ways of doing that in learner-centered activities. |
